Frank Reichherzer is a senior researcher at the Bundeswehr Centre for Military History and Social Science in Potsdam. He is the coordinator of the Centre's Research Group on Military Force and Violence and Co-Head of a project on the military environment Nexus, founded by the Volkswagen-Stiftung (Greening Military: Armed Forces between Climate Crisis and Rearmament).

He holds a PhD from Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen, where he worked in the DFG Collaborative Research Centre 437 "War Experiences". From 2007 to 2014, he was an academic assistant at Humboldt University Berlin.
